This is a work in progress. Celia is exploring the potentials of the zoom space in which millions of us interact. She is considering it on three levels.
First of all, it is a space where we now perform the actions of our daily lives, socialising, working, creating and learning.
On another level, it also has potential as a play space, a theatre space populated with scenery, actors and props, or as a series of 2-dimensional frames with painterly, photographic or filmic qualities. All its many frames can be arranged into a multiplicity of compositions, all by the nature of zoom, existing in relation to each other.
Then, what if zoom was used to reveal the conversations we hold in our head? The internal chatter that informs every minor or major action we take, made visible. Might our world become re-enchanted with the witnessing of these diverse visions?
For example, the film below, is the visual version of the events that took place in Celia's head:
'Hermes (Greek god of messengers, tricksters and thieves) has been travelling on the folds of time. He intercepts a communication from Ganglot, servant to Viking goddess Hel, benign overseer of those who have died of natural causes or illness. Ganglot had wished for an audience with Viking god Freyr but ends up meeting Greek gods Athena and Hephaestus.'
