Journey Paintings

These are artworks made up of sequences of painted fragments taken from people's photos and memories. I've always been attracted to fragments, and the idea of a narrative sequence within an artwork. I'm interested in how changes of tonal range within a painting can place it in different moments in time. The more the colours are faded, the more we associate this with old polaroids and faded photos.

The canvas becomes a cork board, with vignetted moments pinned across it.
