Journey Portraits

A series of 10 canvases capturing the vignetted memories of two people's lives. The complete artwork conjures up an abstracted distant horizon of blue across the space. The two snaking trails meet at one point, reminiscent of two people's paths that meet in life. The line of gold leaf not only links every treasured moment together, it is also reminiscent of the sun reflecting on the lapping waves on the sea shore.

The 50 or so paintings are made with oil paint, with more faded tones for the photographs that are further back in time.
