Title

Talking Tales

Description

An intergenerational project hosted by Theatre by the Lake, Keswick, with exhibition and commissioning of 5 original works. Oral history specialist Jenn Bell worked with 10 young people and veteran volunteers of the theatre to review the theatre's history. Celia Burbush provided participatory activities to act as ice-breakers for the group, while also capturing their stories in visual form. The graphic novel genre was employed, with the use of poster styles from the different decades of the Theatre's history. The work was exhibited alongside a visual timeline. See film for full description. Heritage Lottery-funded.
