Holiday Paintings
Holidays...a time for a rest, for the precious moments when we don't have to 'just get through it'. When we can finally relax, or at least do what we love or are passionate about. I live in the holiday town of Keswick, so 1 in 10 people I see around me are on holiday. Obviously, holidays can also be full of drama or disappointment. Whichever way, they're a break from the old routine, and seem to stand out in our memories in a different way.
Many of the paintings below are taken from old photographs. I am interested in altering the tonal and colour range of my work, to evoke memories that are further back in time.
